Seventy-nine place names were listed there covering an area of some 700 hectares. The winegrowers of Chablis organized these into 17 "umbrella" vineyards. The vines are planted along the valley of the Serein river in the communes of Chablis, Fontenay, Maligny, Milly, Poinchy, Fyé, Chichée, La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne, Courgis, Fleys et Beines.
Montée de Tonnerre is the closest plot from the Grand Cru, just in the East, with a nice South exposure.
Gentle slopes of Kimméridgian marls.
20% of the grapes are vinified and aged in barrels, 80% in stainless-steel tanks. The ageing is on thin lees during 8 months, and then, we gather all the wine in tanks during 3 months before the bottling.
Nice floral notes with minereal and spicies aromas. Thr structure and delicaty together with fruit give a good complexity to the wine.
Serve with meats, seafood with sauce, grilled white meats, salmon in white butter sauce.
To drink 2 to 3 years after bottling and to keep about 5 to 10 years.
